Purpose
To improve the standards of VSK-AUS Teams Racing by improving the skills base of new and current TR players.

1. Apprentice Hosting Teams
Existing VSK-AUS teams shall indicate if they are willing to participate in the Scheme. Participation in the Scheme is not compulsory, but is encouraged. The R/C shall select the top four nominating teams, on the basis of an informal assessment of the teams ability to provide training to an Apprenctice.

The host team will provide training and advice to an apprentice for the period of one week commencing on Friday and finishing with Teams Racing on Thursday night.

The scheme is a four week program where the apprentice spend one week with each of the top 4 teams. The benefits for the apprentice are that they are exposed to different styles of Teams Racing and team organisation.

The apprenticeship is voluntary. It is not a compulsory way of join Teams Racing but more of a fast track learning program for new players or players of weaker teams.

2. Apprentice Nomination and Selection
A public thread requesting nominations from either existing junior team members or members new to TR shall be posted.   Post it HERE if you are keen

The VSK-AUS welcome email and other site banners should also promote the scheme. Registration of interest in the scheme should be made by PM to a nominated R/C member(s) or by reply in Apprentice Nomination thread.

Nominee's should give an indication of their availability for training and desire to participate in the program by posting in this thread.

Nomination is open to any VSK-AUS member, even experienced team racers, who may wish to improve their knowledge and skills.

However, in the event that there are large numbers of nominations, the scheme should give preferences to training members new to Team Racing that are willing to team race regularly and are prepared to join a VSK-AUS team. Likewise junior members of existing teams shall get preference for inclusion over experienced members. A waiting list of apprentices shall be kept if necessary. All Apprentices should have Team Speak configured and working for voice and audio.

3. Training Provided
The nature and extent of training and advice to be provided during the week, is completely up to the host team. Each host team shall handle training completlely as they see fit.

The team captain shall make contact with the nominated apprentice at the commencement of the training week to determine the training schedule and welcome the apprentice.

4. Host Rotation
Apprentices rotate to the next team after completion of the training week. A rotation schedule for the apprentices shall take account of host teams desire as to training in the event of a scheduled bye. It is recognised that some teams may not wish to train an apprentice in a week when there is a scheduled bye, whilst other teams may believe the bye provides a good opportunity for training.

5. Scheme Review
Upon completion of the first round of the scheme, the captain\'s forum shall gather feedback from the host teams about the scheme. Feedback shall also be sought from the graduated apprentices. Efforts will be made to place graduates into willing teams or to form new teams. Upon review of the feedback and the success of the scheme, the captains forum and R/C will suggest and implement changes to the scheme if necessary .

Conclusion
By assisting new players and weaker teams to be stronger in competition we are making the standards higher which in the long run make Teams Racing more enjoyable as well as seeing VSK-AUS dominate the WTRC.
